Hello. My name is usually Charley Cowens, sometimes Charles Cowens, and rarely Chuck Cowens (or even Charlie Cowens). I live in Kensington, California (near Berkeley).
Right now, I work mostly in sales operations for a global software development and consulting company in Walnut Creek. My job experience so far has mostly been in publishing, communications, and software. (However, my first real job was working as a bicycle messenger in San Francisco.)
Like so many others, I have the usual social media accounts: Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. I don't think there is anything particularly embarrasing for me on any of these. And, let's not forget my Github account.
This photo is an artifact of my unsuccessful foray into politics in a race for our local school board. One of the many lessons I learned is that it can be really hard to smile…when you have to.
